The first up is LUNCHBOX «BABY JANE».
I´ve posted it before, but i´m putting up again because i´m such a nice queen.

The sample is lifted form one of my favourite movies ever, «WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE?» (1961).

Portrayed by Bette Davis, «Baby» Jane Hudson is a child star in vaudeville. A spoiled, narcissistic brat, that regularly bullies and abuses her older, more talented sister, Blanche, played by Joan Crawford.

Years later, however, Blanche becomes a huge star, while the untalented, alcoholic Jane languishes in grade-Z shlock, only receiving attention from the tabloids for her drunken party antics. While the two sisters live together in the house their father had left to them, their relationship is antagonistic and bitter, with Blanche taking the brunt of Jane's mockery and temper tantrums, often in public. Blanche nevertheless tries to be a good sister and negotiates roles for Jane in her movies, which only makes Jane angrier and more abusive ... just liksten to the track and you´ll get an idea. And buy, rent or download the movie. It`s brilliant.

He has become a cult figure in the fashion community, and his shows have attracted everyone from Courtney Love to Monica Lewinsky. His design is somewhere between popart and adbusters ... you gett he idea? At the same time it´s fun fun fun!

«Fun» is the best way to describe the song Jeremy Scott put out on A Touch Of Class USA under the name SIDEVIEW.
It´s a ghetto/tech style track where Jeremy is making fun of the fashion/music world, and of course himself, singing «I wanna be a popstar/Not a junkie rockstar».
I told you it was fun!

THE DEATH OF A DISCO DANCER

On friday 7 december «The godfather of disco», Mel Cheren, passed away.

This wonderful man was a seminal part of the dance music, nightclub, and AIDS charity worlds. He was the innovator of the 12”single, one of the people most instrumental in commercially releasing a fledgling style of music called «disco», and the co-founder of West End Records, which produced legendary records by Karen Young and Taana Gardner, among others.



He was also the financial backer behind The Paradise Garage, the legendary club of all clubs.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Mel Cheren in 2005 on the release of «I Was Born This Way», charity single with vocals by Carl Bean.

If you want the truth about disco, club culture and the impact hiv and aids ha don the gay community in the 80`s i recommend you get hold of Mel Cheren`s book «My Life and the Paradise Garage: Keep Dancin'», from 2000.

The book is a truly magical recount of gay history and an introduction to DJ Culture.

this-beat-as-long-as-it-last-around-10 minutes-or-so is frankly not doing it for me. Although i´m dying to find out who hides behind the Black Labelle-name … They are fellow Norwegians I hear. Well, i´ll keep an eye open for them!

But why bitch about Kittin? I look forward to the album – that´s all I can say at this point.

The Top 50 Djs Poll was hosted by the free paper Natt&Dag and now the verdict is out.

Norway´s best dj is G-HA – and too bloody right as well! Respect!

I made the 32 spot. And i´m just surprised that i even made the list ... Thax to all my friends who voted!

This is a sad day ....

«Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and her reactivated Psychic TV aka PTV3 are terribly sad to announce the cancellation of their November North American tour dates. This decision is entirely due to the unexpected passing of band member Lady Jaye Breyer P-Orridge.

Lady Jaye died suddenly on Tuesday 9th October 2007 at home in Brooklyn, New York from a previously undiagnosed heart condition which is thought to have been connected with her long-term battle with stomach cancer. Lady Jaye collapsed and died in the arms of her heartbroken "other half" Genesis Breyer P-Orridge.

Being overwhelmed by the enormity of their loss, Genesis and the other surviving band members of Psychic TV/PTV3 are not able to properly meet the demands of touring and performance. Obviously, her absence onstage , the conspicuous loss of her unique charisma, music and humour would be an unbearable emotional reality to confront night after night.

The group, who have been touring to promote their first studio album in 12 years, will announce future plans after an appropriate period of mourning.»
