Just got a message from Kym in London. His flatmate was attacked last night. It was an obvious homophobic attack and just another in a long string of hate crimes sweeping Europe these days. At Europride in Stockholm a gay couple was stabbed with knifes just a couple of days ago.
The irony here is that Kym´s flatmate is straight ... Which proves that no one is spared i guess. Any self proclaimed freak will risk the wrath of the ones who set the standards - whoever they may be ...
How to cope in situations like this ...? I don´t really know ... well i do - but we all have our own way of coping.
However - i´m sure we could all draw some strenght and inspiration from QUEER CUM!
QUEER CUM «MARCH OF Q»
QUEER CUM is made up of Latex of Putilatex, from Spain, and Rob Seol, from Chile, and together they presents concepts formed around homosexuality and electro music.
The project was born on the 19th of December 2007, through Myspace, where QUEER CUM not only became known to the public in Spain and Chile, but was also received enthusiastically by the French, Italians and North Americans.
Justice have joined up with international design collective Surface to Air to craft ready-to-wear takes on their usual collection. They're on sale now at a number of boutiques the world over as well as via the Surface to Air website. The rumply jeans sells for € 150, and the jackets for € 800.
The question is of course: Do you really need this?
I’ll let Vivienne Westwood answer that question: «I'll tell you what I'd like them to buy – nothing. I'd like people to stop buying and buying and buying»
